THE FARMER
DAVE THE POET

Someone planted a seed
Deep in the ground
Sifting rocks and dirt
One of life’s noble sounds
Will it take long
To forever grow strong

Busy as a bee, Many jobs to do
Who will take the time, To actually see it through
Winter gives way, To springtime rains
Hot summer days, Dry the grounds again
Everyday mothers give birth, Lost souls are found
Someone plants a seed, Down in the ground

Be the harvest, One and all
Give life and pray, Grow strong and tall
Be sunlight, When times are gray
Nurture everything, That comes your way
Remain humble and true, Be a friend
You, Will become a seed again
