THE GHOST I’LL ALWAYS BE
DAVE THE POET

Another day looking back, Time fades away
Lessons learned again and again, Are forgotten everyday
I’m a mirror image, Of the ghost I’ll always be
Awkward and alone, Foot loose and fancy free

Don’t do well with others, Can’t be left alone
Gemini dragons, Gorge upon my soul
A mirror in the moon-light, Tells only lies
As the passing time, Whispers and cries
Still a dreamer, Even in defeat
Gutted and shackled, Foot loose and fancy free

Who will bleed, In history’s wake
Armed with life, I question my next steps
I am reborn, Knowing more than yesterday
Yet tomorrow, Remains unbridled
As now slowly fades away
