ROYAL PALM
DAVE THE POET

Remind me of a place, I’ve never been
A place where, I can’t sin
Give me a place, To begin
Holding hands, With eyes that smile
On an island of serenity
I find peace and calm
In the sunset, Shadows of a royal palm
Sea level, Climbing higher
Floating through life
I’m a tide rider
Born every sunrise
A soul, With wanton eyes
Exploding, Like waves on a beach
A world traveled, Sanibel Island shell
Within a child’s reach
Misty, As a moonlit dream
Inhale life, Breathe the sea
