DONATE LOVE
DAVE THE POET
No matter how hard I try
Seems like forever, Since I smiled
Even longer, Since I cried
Keep the pain of the world inside
Wear my heart on my sleeve
Can’t believe, How much I grieve
From what I hear and see
Sadness, Mixed with tragedy
Gotta keep it real, Just how I feel
Pleading, Donate love, Help heal
Life’s precious, Not a waste, But to live
First love yourself, Forgive someone else
We make things complicated, Preaching salvation’s overrated
Deaf, Dumb, Blind, We’re running out of time
Many problems, Few solutions
Clean up, Emotional pollution
Facts are facts, Reach the conclusion
Future needs us now, Know why, Here’s how
Power’s stealing souls, Selling bombs
Closed fists, No open arms
Parties over, Devils gone
Fat ladies sung, Her swan song
Prince of Peace, Welcome home
Since The Garden of Eden
Humanities been sinning and bleeding
Born and die all the same
Crucify, Hate, Pride, Blame
Let’s rebuke despair, Billions joined in prayer
Show each other we all care
Respect, What’s fair is fair
No matter how hard I try
Seems like forever, Since I smiled
Even longer, Since I cried
Keep the pain of the world inside
Wear my heart on my sleeve
Can’t believe, How much I grieve
From what I hear and see
Sadness, Mixed with tragedy
Gotta keep it real, Just how I feel
Pleading, Donate love, Help heal
