A LITTLE LIVED IN
DAVE THE POET
Fading away or reborn again
I clean up nice, But I’m a little lived in
Is it time, To go to homeroom
Was that the morning bell?
Didn’t do my homework, I look like hell
Listen to your teachers, Always do your best
A high school diploma, Is life’s first test
No matter what you learn, Do what’s in your heart
Finish the unknown, Ready to start
There is only one path, That keeps you humble
Gracefully, Get back up, For you will stumble
Befriend the world, Never be alone
Solitude is a glass house, Already full of stones
Fading away or reborn again
I clean up nice, But I’m a little lived in
Twists and turns, Along the way
No rehearsals, Life is a one act play
Everyone else listens, Follows your lead
Know the difference, Between want and need
Love yourself, With every breath you take
Mirror that to others, With the decisions you make
Tick-tock, The clock never stops
Life is short, You’ve got to do a lot
Greet the world, With open arms, And a Cheshire grin
Fading away or reborn again
I clean up nice, But I’m a little lived in
