CHESHIRE GRIN
DAVE THE POET

Yesterday is something, I’ve already lived
God, Faith and me, Everything to give
Think about tomorrow, As time undone
Sun, Clouds, Shadows, Of things to come

A child, Sits in the backseat of a classroom
Daydreams
Monday to Friday, Dumbed down
From 9 to 3
Who thought up, How to learn?
Knowledge, Questions, Lectures
Brilliance, Sits in plain sight
How are you seen?
Vivid color, Or black and white
Cloaked, In a naked dream
Would you, Walk on by
Do it, All over again
Or fade away, Like a Cheshire grin
