WATER AND STONE
DAVE THE POET

Softer than water, Harder than stone
The people’s prophet, Needs no throne
Part you, Part me
The love, That heals our family
Softer than water, Harder than stone
A humble God, Lives in every home

Wake up with nature, Life is free
Own little, Fewer priorities
Look at yourself, What do you see
All things are related, History’s destiny

Float on the ocean, Like the shadow of a cloud
Giving shade, To a wanting crowd
Somebody needs, What you have to give
Where youth grows old, Knowledge will live
Take your time, It’s all you’ve got
Memories live on, In every raindrop
Rage like a storm, Be silent as the breeze
Always respect, The birds and the bees
Seasons change, So do we
False power replaces, Love with hostility

Babies don’t know, Love or hate
These things must be taught
Choose your leaders wisely
Not by what they say
But by the battles, They have fought

Softer than water, Harder than stone
The people’s prophet, Needs no throne
Part you, Part me
The love, That heals our family
Softer than water, Harder than stone
A humble God, Lives in every home
