SAVE THE ANGELS
DAVE THE POET

Take everything for granted
Get nothing in return
Play with fire, Surprised we get burned
Safety in numbers, We’re all in danger
Sacrifice yourself, Save the Angels

Reborn a new creation, Can’t deny who you are
Look inside yourself, Long and hard
Why would you own, Things you don’t need
Starving souls, Mouths to feed
What does a blind soul see
When it reaches the other side
Humbleness never runs, Sins can’t hide

Danced with Mother Nature, Dined on pain and love
Ask me if I’m proud, Of the things I’ve done
Will I be remembered, For being kind
Left this world, A better place
A child of God, Devils disgrace
Listened to my answer, Knew it was a lie
Lightning birthed thunder, Sky began to cry

Generations been planted, Who will help them grow
Leave your garden unattended, Reap what you sow
Whose accountable, For the footprints in the sand
Most run away, Few take a stand
Leaders start small, In time become great
Mentor and nourish now, Our futures at stake

Take everything for granted
Get nothing in return
Play with fire, Surprised we get burned
Safety in numbers, We’re all in danger
Sacrifice yourself, Save the Angels
