BARD
DAVE THE POET

Weak is the flesh, That drinks the wine
Questioning what’s wrong’s, Is not a victimless crime
You pick the place, I got the time
Tell me your story, I’ll share mine
There’s a love we chase, Hate we know
One remains elusive, Other haunts us
Everywhere we go
Always running somewhere, Trying to belong
Victorious recreate history, Oppressed sing the songs

Stood at the edge, Of the abyss
Wanting to die
Guardian Angel, Kicked me off
Knowing I could fly
When violence fails, Let’s win equality peacefully
If you won’t change your world, Let it be me

I was gifted, A humbling job, Not 9 to 5
Steal smiles from strangers, For lovers I cry
Hand picked, Bard for a muse
Give all I got, Nothing to loose
Close my eyes, Still work to be done
Pray the worst’s behind us, Best’s yet to come

My place to shine’s, Not center stage
Howling like an animal, Sacrificed in a cage
Wind carries my name, Message crystal clear
Joined as one, We’ve got nothing to fear
Alone and shattered, Like leaves we scatter
Naked trees, Betrayed stand tall
Disguising testimonies, Freeing us all

Weak is the flesh, That drinks the wine
Questioning what’s wrong’s, Is not a victimless crime
You pick the place, I got the time
Tell me your story, I’ll share mine
There’s a love we chase, Hate we know
One remains elusive, Other haunts us
Everywhere we go
Always running somewhere, Trying to belong
Victorious recreate history, Oppressed sing the songs
